How You Can Get InductedĪfter a student has been selected for prospective membership he/she will be sent a letter inviting membership with information about an orientation session. To be eligible for membership a student must complete a minimum of twelve hours of associate degree course work and earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher and must maintain a high academic standing throughout their enrollment in the two-year college, at least a 3.5 GPA. Annually, approximately 100,000 students are inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. It is estimated that 200,000 students participate in Phi Theta Kappa programs each year. Co-curricular programs focus upon the Society’s Hallmark of Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship.
